FAQ

Frequently asked questions from our students

Is it possible to cancel or change lessons in a group lesson?

For group lessons, the day and time of the lesson is fixed once a week, so it is not possible to cancel or change the lesson.

Private lessons can be rescheduled or canceled at the student's convenience as long as the student notifies us by 8:00 p.m. the day before the lesson.

How many students are in a group lesson?

Group lessons are small groups with a maximum of three students.

How many students study at our academy?

Over the past 20 years, thousands of students have learned at our academy, and many continue to take classes today. Even after achieving their goals, some students have continued to attend for 10, 15, or 18 years.

Currently, our teachers serve an average of 35 students per week.

4

What kind of students study at our academy (age, type of lesson,...)?

Our academy has a variety of students ranging from children as young as 10 years old to adults up to 86 years old.

There are both group and private lessons available.

Most students take private lessons.

5

Why do our students study Spanish?

There are a variety of reasons for enrolling. For example, some have studied Spanish before and want to resume their studies, while others plan to study or travel to a Spanish-speaking country and want to learn Spanish in order to enjoy their trip further.

Some students who love flamenco, salsa, tango, and other dances want to understand more about the songs and the culture.

Others just want to learn a new language, pass the DELE exam (Spanish Language Proficiency Exam), or go to a country famous for its soccer and watch a game.

6

Can I start lessons at level 0 regardless of age (even for seniors)?

Yes, half of the students in this academy are around seniors, and they can enjoy learning from level 0.

7

Are there any student exchange activities or events apart from the course?

Yes, we participate in Latin dance-Latin music events, go to Latin and Spanish restaurants, and other social activities. We also offer Peruvian cooking lessons.

At our academy, we believe that learning a new language includes learning the culture and traditions of the country, such as its music, food, and dances.

8

How many lessons/hours will it take for me to go from 0 to A1 level (daily conversation)?

The level A1 (daily conversation) depends largely on the ability of the student.

Normally, about 30 to 40 hours of study are required to achieve DELE A1 level, including grammar and conversation. However, the learning time varies from person to person.

(Reference)

*A student who takes 5 hours of intensive lessons per week will complete Level A1 in about 6 weeks (one and a half months).

For 1 hour of lessons per week, it will take more than 7 months to complete Level A1.

We recommend that you take at least 2 hours of lessons per week at our academy. You will see progress in your learning in approximately 3 months.

9

Are teachers native or Japanese?

Teachers are experienced native speakers with over 10 years of experience.

The academy's goal is to teach lessons in Spanish, but teachers can also follow up in Japanese or English depending on the student's level and needs.

10

How do I know my Spanish level?

During the trial lesson, you will take a simple level-check test to find out your level. We will then advise you on the best way to achieve your goals.

11
